Use
the "Mission" quarterlies for ideas. If you're not receiving them,
download from www.adventist.org
under Sabbath Schools or call (301) 680-5060. Offer to tell continued stories
out of mission books. Give them new heroes and role models. Record the
children reading mission stories and have them take the tapes to the homebound.
Involve them in making mission posters for the bulletin board. Plan a mission
trip for families that is child-friendly (Maranatha is good at this). Get
them writing to a pen pal overseas (see the "Guide" or
"Adventist Frontiers" for names and addresses). Adopt
a mission project for which the whole class raises money. Have them share
what they're doing during 13th Sabbath presentations.
Some good projects and activities can be found at www.kidswithamission.org
and check also about the ADRA bunny known as Adraena at www.adra.org.
The Bible League gets children involved in giving away Bibles
to mission fields while learning about the people in that area.
