Read a Psalm to tune my mind to spiritual things
and to focus on God in praise.
Today's Psalm:
Pray, asking God to speak personally to my
needs and my day.
Meditate on the memory text that I've chosen
for this week to slow myself down.
This week's text:
Read from the Bible and answer the following
questions. Keep in mind that God's word should be applied to all
my relationships, my work, my recreation, my thought-life and my
friendship with God.
Today's Bible Passage:
- Is there an example for me to follow or a command for me to
obey?
- Is there something about God's character for me to enjoy and
appreciate?
- Is there a sin for me to confess?
- Is there an attitude for me to change?
- Is there a promise for me to claim?
- What jumped out at me as God's special word for my day?
Pray the Basic Outline of the Lord's Prayer
plugging in the above Bible insights about myself, my day and claiming
the promises I have found.
- Praise to God, the mighty but gentle Father. (Be specific in
my thanks.)
- Surrender my life, my plans for the day, my will to God's direction
for His kingdom.
- Tell Him my specific needs - Material and Physical; Forgiveness;
Spiritual Growth. (This is a good time to put on the armor of
God Ephesians 6.)
- Prayer for others.
- End with praise, confident.
