Literature and Resources for Other Languages and Religions

Sharing Literature Many Languages

"Namestei!" " Salam Aleikome!" "Buenos Dias!" "Did somebody say hello?"

You are surrounded by 500 ethnic groups speaking over 600 languages!

1 out of 7 of your neighbors in America speaks a language other than English at home. Would they understand the sermon at your local church? Would an English pamphlet reach their hearts?

Language is not the only barrier to hearing about Jesus. Religion is a big filter that makes it difficult. Sharing with them is not like talking to a Bible-believing Baptist.

Many Religions

In the USA There are Approximately:

Cultists – 27 million
Jews – 7 million
Muslims – 6 million
Native Americans – 2 million
Hindus – 1,500,000
Buddhists – 500,000
Bahai's – 370,000
Sikhs – 250,000

Total of non-Christian religionists – 16,100,000
Total including nonreligious – 40,818,000 (10% of North America)

A simple statement of truth can be so easily misunderstood. What might be the responses to your declaration of faith that "Jesus is the Son of God"?

The Hindu might say, "Yes, one of many!" The Buddhist, "But he had such bad karma he died on a cross!"
The Muslim, "Blasphemy!" The nonreligious, "So what?!"

So how do we learn the best ways to win these people to Christ?
